Job Summary
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code while assisting in designing, developing, and testing software applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, participate actively in stand-ups and code reviews, and debug issues by clearly communicating root causes and fixes. Document code, processes, and technical decisions for team reference while continuously learning new tools and frameworks. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to stakeholders and show high confidence when presenting ideas or asking questions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Python fundamentals (data structures, OOP, exception handling)
- Basic knowledge of at least one framework (Django/Flask/FastAPI)
- Familiarity with SQL/databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Understanding of version control (Git/GitHub)
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High confidence in presenting ideas, asking questions, and participating in discussions/meetings
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to accept feedback
- B.Tech/B.E/BCA/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of manual testing concepts (test case design, bug life cycle, types of testing)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks
- Patience and persistence in finding and reporting issues
- B.Tech/B.E/BCA/MCA/B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of at least one framework (Django/Flask/FastAPI) is a plus
- Familiarity with bug-tracking/test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar) is a plus
- Exposure to automation testing concepts (Selenium, or similar) is an added advantage
- Personal projects, internships, or GitHub portfolio showcasing Python work
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certification in software testing (ISTQB Foundation Level or similar)
- Personal projects or academic exposure to testing tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Java) for automation exposure
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
