Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for supervising QA inspection and testing; review inspection reports and coordinate with QA, production, management, and engineering to resolve issues; maintain quality data and reports; train production on quality control measures; monitor equipment; manage daily hold lists; report nonconformances to QM; audit systems against ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016; define quality metrics for manufacturing procedures; identify root causes of nonconformities and implement fixes; prepare PPAPs across automotive and non-automotive parts; coordinate with external auditors; drive continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction; perform internal and external audits; support quality functions; interact with suppliers to address nonconforming materials; maintain clean and safe work area; knowledge of tooling and gauges; capable of operating manual equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as Quality Engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016
- Experience completing PPAPs
- GD&T knowledge
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, gauges
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Safety practices and attention to quality
