Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for QA engineering support across manufacturing operations in Windsor, CT; develop and analyze statistical and product/process performance data to recommend improvements, implement and audit Quality Management Systems (AS9100/ISO-9001), interface with customers, develop inspection/test plans, support product development and launch, and drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma/Lean, GD&T, and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality role within a complex manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Technology, Quality, or other technical fields
- Experience utilizing problem-solving methods, i.e., 8D, root cause analysis, etc., and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems
- Six Sigma and Lean experience, preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems such as AS131000, AS9100, ISO-9001, or any other industry-specific standard or regulation, certification and implementation knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of GD&T and its principles, proficient in blue-print reading
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to analyze data to use in sound decision making
