Job Summary

Quality Engineer leading customer quality initiatives and continuous improvement in a Mississauga-based manufacturing environment. Responsible for QMS compliance (ISO 9001), audits, KPI reporting, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive corrective actions, process improvements, and product quality. Lead supplier/customer/process audits, develop procedures and documentation, deliver quality training, and participate in new product introductions to ensure quality requirements are met. Strong emphasis on data-driven decision making, problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA), and stakeholder communication with customers, auditors, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering, quality systems, or continuous improvement role
  • Strong experience working within ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environments
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent audit leadership experience
  • Experience conducting internal, supplier, customer, and process audits within a manufacturing setting
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, product certification requirements, and quality management principles within regulated industries
  • Advanced ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and quality analysis tools; experience with statistical software is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success leading root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Pareto Analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities with experience interacting with customers, auditors, and senior leadership
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives to completion
  • Experience supporting customer-facing quality activities and managing customer satisfaction metrics
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies is considered an asset
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving capabilities
