Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for leading APQP-driven NPI activities and serving as a customer-facing quality representative during product development and production launch. Owns PPAP deliverables (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, FAI, dimensional layouts, certifications) and partners cross-functionally to ensure launch readiness and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. Applies APQP methodology to guide New Product Introduction, reviews engineering drawings and specifications, defines inspection requirements and sampling plans, supports DV/PV activities, and leads corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and continuous improvement using SPC. Maintains ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 awareness and participates in internal and customer audits and regulatory assessments. Position located in Hartford, WI with no sponsorship/relocation opportunities at this time. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred) and 4–6 years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing; ISO/UL/ETL familiarity and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting NPI activities
- PFMEA development/review and Control Plan creation
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Experience with ISO-based quality management systems
- Familiarity with regulatory or certification standards such as UL, ETL
- Experience with SPC and data analysis techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
- Cross-functional team collaboration
- ISO-certified environments experience (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 4–6 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting NPI activities
- Experience with PFMEA development/review and Control Plan creation
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Experience with internal auditing and ISO-based quality management systems
- Familiarity with regulatory or certification standards such as UL, ETL, or similar bodies
- Experience with SPC and data analysis techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in a customer-facing role
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience with PolyWorks or similar metrology software (preferred)
- Experience with fabrication, welded assemblies, or leak-critical products (preferred)
- Experience working within ISO-certified environments (preferred)
- Salary range for this position is $60,000-$72,000 (annual)
