Job Summary
Quality Engineer – Salesforce role at Qantas to test Salesforce applications, build out test automation infrastructure, develop automation scripts, and contribute to CI, focusing on functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing with non-functional coverage (accessibility, performance, security); collaboration with team members to create automated test cases and analyze failures; primarily based at the Adelaide Product Innovation Centre and involves in-person work with Salesforce QA tooling (Provar, Selenium, UTAM/WebdriverIO) and agile practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6+ years’ experience in a Salesforce QA or Software Testing role
- Hands-on testing experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud (Experience/Community Cloud desirable)
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform concepts, including security, data model, and governor limits
- Experience testing Salesforce integrations, including APIs, events, or middleware‐based integrations
- Experience creating test plans and executing functional, integration, regression and E2E
- Web or Salesforce Automation using open sourced or similar licensed tools such as Provar, Selenium, UFT, UTAM/WebdriverIO
- Manual Salesforce testing around Flows, validation rules, profiles & permission sets, sharing & security behaviour, and custom components & integrations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, with experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro
- Familiarity with agile delivery environments (Scrum / SAFe / Kanban)
- Strong defect management skills, including triage, prioritisation, and clear communication
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders
