Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Quality Engineer role focusing on inspection and testing of machined parts in a on-site shop-floor setting. Responsibilities include first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools and CMM; interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T; maintaining inspection documentation such as FAI and PPAP; participating in MRB, RCA/CAPA for defect reduction; collaborating with machinists to ensure SOP compliance; and supporting process improvements. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, an Associate degree preferred, 1-3+ years in quality control/inspection, and proficiency with blueprints, GD&T, CMMs, and quality software. On-site environment with PPE, standing/walking, and lifting up to 75 lbs; no sponsorship required.
Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and GD&T
- On-site shop-floor work environment adaptability

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field (machine tool technology, engineering technology, or quality assurance) preferred
- CMM programming experience (e.g., Zeiss, Keyence, Mitutoyo)
- 1-3+ years quality control/inspection experience in metal machining or manufacturing
- Proficiency interpreting blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with PPAP, FAI, SPC, IS0 9001:2015/IATF 16949 knowledge
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and quality management software
