Job Summary
Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies to drive product quality improvement. Own the CAPA system, manage gauge calibration programs, and execute PFMEA sessions to mitigate manufacturing risks. Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, PPAPs, and Gage R&R studies while maintaining RBS RGA and CAR databases. Oversee internal audits, review non-conformance data, and act as the primary quality liaison for customers to manage complaints and technical deviations. Train QC and manufacturing personnel on QMS processes, metrology skills, and CMM interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance or a related industrial program or significant relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience within quality control in a manufacturing environment practicing ISO 9001
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing metrology/inspection tools, experience with calibration systems
- 1+ years of experience with CMM operation serving as the SME (Zeiss hardware and/or Calypso Software preferred)
- Intermediate level of computer literacy, specifically Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Capable of using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer, calipers, gages, etc.
- Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to lift materials and product up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift to 75lbs
- Must be able to use safety glasses
- Must be able to wear steel toed work boots or shoes
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quality, a Related Industrial Program, or Tech/Engineering
- Certification in Metal trades industry or Quality Control
- Zeiss hardware
- Calypso Software
- Control of monitoring and measuring devices
- Ability to interpret blueprints with a strong knowledge of GD&T principles and inspection methods
- Understanding and application of SPC techniques
- Process Auditing Experience
