Quality Engineer, Receiving and Vehicle Quality

Job Summary
In this role, you will maintain quality and inventory records for receiving inspection, coordinate rework activities with responsible part owners and supplier quality engineers, and design and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes. You will work cross-functionally to resolve systemic product and process issues and support the development of PFMEA and Control Plans. Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and advanced problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, aviation, or contract manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in advanced problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Shainin Red X, Six Sigma Black/Green Belt) and demonstrated success driving systemic quality improvements across the value stream.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
- Expertise in using quality management and ERP systems (SAP, MES, JIRA, etc.) for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer - CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt)
