Job Summary
Coordinates, administers and performs the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability; completes APQP processes and PPAP documentation per AIAG; develops gauges, collaborates with suppliers to resolve manufacturing problems, participates in SDTs and internal audits, trains personnel on quality requirements, and supports Product Introduction through prototype fabrication and delivery, with travel to customer or supplier locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with APQP process
- Completion and documentation of APQP phases
- PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines
- Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges
- Work with suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems
- Travel to customer or supplier locations as needed
- Participation in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDTs)
- Internal audits as required
- Train Quality and Production personnel on quality requirements
- Support Product Introduction through prototype fabrication and delivery
