Job Summary
Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans while conducting root cause analysis for non-conformances. Monitor manufacturing processes to identify improvement areas and perform product inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborate with design and production teams to maintain quality from concept to launch, utilizing statistical process control and other quality tools for continuous improvement. Manage and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records. This role supports leading manufacturing companies in Paw Paw, MI, with a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and other quality tools
- Experience with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and/or Lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards
- Experience with root cause analysis tools and problem-solving techniques
