Job Summary
Quality Engineer II supports Orchid's legacy products and collaborates with project management and manufacturing engineers on new production introduction and validation. Uses quality tools such as process flowcharting, Pareto analysis, correlation and regression analysis, significance tests, design of experiments, statistical process control, gauge R&R, and trend analysis. Acts as a customer liaison for quality complaints; collects, analyzes, and presents data; assists suppliers with quality requirements; supports QMS deliverables/APQP including CAPA, FMEA, and IQ/OQ/PQ. Plans and conducts validations; interfaces with customer contacts to clarify requirements; determines machine/process capability; develops inspection criteria linked to customer requirements; leads productivity improvements and continuous improvement projects. Participates in pre- and post-production launch reviews; performs quality reviews and internal audits; reviews and approves change requests; reviews drawings for GD&T and inspection plans. Supports metrics, works with cross-functional teams to solve problems, and reinforces safety practices.
Required Qualifications
