Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Ensure compliance with Quality System Regulations, ISO standards, and standard operating procedures. Apply quality engineering techniques to support new and existing products, process discrepant material transactions, and lead corrective and preventive action projects to drive defect reduction. Partner with supplier quality engineers to resolve issues, manage customer complaints, and support IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities. Lead local containment activities, train inspectors, and conduct root cause investigations using statistical tools like SPC and MSA. Represent Quality in process improvement, FMEA, and risk analysis while maintaining documentation through audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and eight years of relevant technical experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in a quality, engineering, or manufacturing role
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, CQE, CQA, or Lead Auditor certification preferred
- Knowledge of statistical techniques as applied to assembly and manufacturing processes
- Experience with product and process development
- Knowledge of risk management principles and practices
- Experience conducting root cause investigations
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools
- SAP experience preferred
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience preferred
- Experience with blueprint reading, basic metrology, and GD&T preferred
