Job Summary
QA Engineer will audit, calibrate, datamine, and solve process and product issues; interact regularly with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and customers to establish, document, evaluate, and disposition product and process performance in accordance with AS9100, internal, and customer requirements. Responsibilities include developing, implementing and maintaining inspection, testing, and evaluation processes; managing non-conformities; preparing process/product qualification and compliance documentation for customer approval; maintaining QMS systems (calibration, audits, document control, CAPA); leading and participating in FMEA, DoE, MSA, and 8D activities; preparing and presenting reports; conducting supplier, QMS, product, and process audits; and helping deploy and improve the AS9100-compliant QMS.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or engineering technology OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience as a manufacturing engineer OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma techniques
- Experience leading FMEAs, DoEs, 8Ds, and analyzing results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
- Proficiency in SPC methodologies and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Extensive experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 implementation and auditing
- Working knowledge of MSA techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
