Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and maintain systems to automate customer surveys and support ERP and QT9 integration into daily quality operations. Perform contract reviews, configuration management, and create production routers while managing certifications, First Article Inspections, and AS9102 requirements. Lead investigations of internal and external quality issues using root cause analysis methodologies like 8D and Five Whys. Drive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, verify solution effectiveness, and support supplier quality audits. Analyze quality metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure product compliance with aerospace standards. Prioritize daily activities to ensure quality products are released and shipped on schedule while collaborating with cross-functional teams to reduce defects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
- Minimum of three (3) years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, industrial hose manufacturing, or a related industry
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and other applicable aerospace quality standards
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and other quality improvement tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentation
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action techniques
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
- Knowledge of Risk assessment and quality planning
- Knowledge of Regulatory and customer compliance requirements
- Strong customer focus and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Project management and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Experience with Power BI, QT9, ERP systems, QuickBooks, and SolidWorks
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred
