Job Summary

Quality Engineer will design quality standards, inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products; perform data analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products with emphasis on eliminating waste; use structured methodologies to identify root causes of non-conformances and execute corrective actions; conduct and oversee quality control testing, respond to quality process nonconformance issues, analyze and lead implementation of effective solutions, and develop quality SOPs. Must be able to validate product conformance using advanced measurement technologies (e.g., 3-D scanning, CMM) and collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, GPSC, Contracts, Sales and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues and improve processes; facilitate quality-led forums to drive business impact and risk assessment; perform process capability studies; improve processes to reduce variability and prevent backsliding; establish control plans; benchmark industry practices and drive corrective/preventive actions; support supplier quality and define quality contractual requirements; contribute to ISO/IATF certifications and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Quality or related field from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) or more years of experience
  • STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS: Six sigma certification & CQE
