Job Summary
Maintain quality control systems by identifying specifications per customer print, determining variation levels, and monitoring quality assurance rates. Design automated testing systems and workflows to improve efficiency, while collecting data on product errors to troubleshoot manufacturing or design processes. Document initial quality standards and actual product quality during production, then find defects to determine causes and assist in creating resolutions. Teach production staff effective quality controls and supervise outcomes while working closely with design and production teams to solve problems and implement changes that reduce human or machine errors. Program computerized measuring equipment like CMM, Keyence, and GMM to inspect, test, and evaluate manufacturing process reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, measuring tools, gages, and quality manufacturing processes (PPAPs, Control Plans, ISO...)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong Math Skills
- Knowledge of metals machining
- Attention to detail
- Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stress
- Capable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to switch between tasks easily
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Four (4) or more years of quality engineering experience
