Quality Engineer- Manufacturing

Job Summary
Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for manufacturing while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9100, and regulatory standards. Conduct internal and external audits, lead root cause analysis using 8D and 5 Whys tools, and review engineering drawings for quality requirements. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues, monitor performance metrics like scrap and yield, and support supplier quality activities including First Article Inspection. Drive continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies while maintaining proper documentation and traceability. Work in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE and safety adherence, with occasional travel for supplier audits or customer visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- 2–5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality management standard and aerospace regulatory requirements, or equivalent industrial knowledge and experience
- Experience with inspection tools, GD&T, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality tools (SPC, Minitab, etc.)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Audit and compliance expertise
- Form and lead Teams
- May require use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols
- Occasional travel for supplier audits or customer visits
Desired Qualifications
- ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA) preferred
