Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Maintain and improve quality systems, data analysis, and customer interfaces while ensuring all tasks comply with safety policies. Regularly interact with frontline leaders to provide direction and execute trial results for quality and process improvements. Oversee internal, customer, and third-party audits from preparation through corrective action, leading investigations into complaints and developing solutions. Utilize statistical methods like Six Sigma and SPC to determine process capabilities, manage process changes, and minimize manufacturing costs. Lead assigned projects from start to completion, ensuring consistency across assets and shifts while enforcing SOPs and work instructions.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
- Ability to travel required (10-30%)
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer a plus
- Six Sigma certification preferred (green or black belt)
- experience in paper or hygiene products is a plus
- Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and microbiological testing methods preferred
- Works independently and has the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Problem solving skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Paper, hygiene, or nonwovens experience desired
