Job Summary
Quality Engineer role focusing on API gateway testing. Responsible for functional, non-functional, integration, component, and end-to-end regression testing for API gateway releases in an Agile environment. Collaborates with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, QE Leads, and Software Engineers to create bespoke Test Plans and End of Test Reports (EOTRs). Develops automated functional test scripts using Cucumber.IO and maintains large test suites. Automates testing, updates the test automation framework and coding standards, and performs security testing to evaluate production readiness. Contributes to knowledge base, sets best practices, and promotes modern engineering culture with emphasis on TDD, code reviews, and CI/CD. Works with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), and Atlassian toolchain (X-Ray, JIRA, Confluence). Desirable experience with API management platforms, security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS), performance/load testing (JMeter, Gatling, Locust), mocking/contract testing (WireMock, PACT), and IaC (Terraform).
