Job Summary
Quality Engineer & Lab Supervisor responsible for ensuring daily production quality and supporting product quality initiatives. Leads lab activities, supervises personnel, maintains lab procedures and testing methods, and ensures compliance with ISO standards. Drives continuous improvement in elastomer product technology, process control, and analytical capabilities; oversees C/Gage R&Rs, data analysis, and investigations of non-conformances. Manages capital projects for the Kentucky Plant Lab, coordinates maintenance and contractor activities, and ensures timely certification of lab staff. Requires formal chemistry education (associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred), 5+ years in QA/chemical manufacturing, leadership experience, and strong communication and project-management skills. Less than 10% domestic travel. Located at the Louisville, KY site with on-site lab operations in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in chemistry is required
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is strongly preferred
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance and/or Chemical Manufacturing experience
- Previous leadership experience is required
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills
