Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for creating AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), coordinating archival and inspection of build records, and ensuring traceability of CoCs and documentation. Role includes incoming inspection of materials, adherence to standards and specifications, coordinating with fabrication teams to document FAIRs, developing and updating quality reports, SOPs, and quality program manuals, and supporting ISO 9001:2015/AS9100 compliance, internal audits, PFMEA, and supplier/customer interactions. Requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, occasional travel up to ~15%, and on-site work at the Colorado Springs, CO headquarters. Strong emphasis on quality assurance, documentation control, problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering, construction, sustainment, and business operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience as a quality engineer or similar role for a specifically related field such as DoD contracting or EMP protection
- Experience inspecting parts, working with job travelers, drawings, and CMM inspection tools a plus
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Office, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with MS Project and advanced Excel functions (formatting, commands, macros, etc) a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret clearance
- Willingness to be coached and willing to learn new skills in a growing industry
