Job Summary
Quality Engineer III in manufacturing based at the Harvey, IL facility supports Quality Assurance including ISO requirements and supplier quality programs; conducts second party audits to ensure ISO compliance; leads quality assurance initiatives to meet customer-driven quality improvements and company growth; monitors customer satisfaction and drives resolution and prevention of complaints; supports the Supplier Quality program and performs quality systems audits of suppliers; manages UL/ISO/Nuclear accreditations; ensures manufacturing process control programs focused on preventing quality issues; applies Six Sigma/Lean tools (FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, Pareto analysis) and writes/validates new or improved materials and processes; ensures proper lab coverage and training for Quality Technicians; seeks continuous improvement in QA capabilities and effectiveness; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Experience in lean manufacturing practices
- Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of statistical theory and principles, SPC and tools
- Interpersonal skills suitable for interfacing with various levels of the organization
