Quality Engineer II (Lima)

Job Summary
Plan, implement, and execute testing strategies across the software development lifecycle, analyzing business requirements to identify functional gaps and risks. Create and maintain test cases while documenting execution evidence and managing defects in TestRail and Jira. Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing for web and mobile applications, supporting production issue investigations and root cause analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases, support test automation initiatives, and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies. Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test design and productivity. Work two days per week in the Lima office.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced English level
- Experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience within an Agile environment
- Experience with agile testing tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins and TestRail or any related
- Experience in regression testing
- Experience in exploratory testing
- Experience in API testing (using Postman or similar tools)
- Firm understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Documentation writing skills with experience in writing test cases and test plans
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar)
