Job Summary
Support writing procedures, collect and analyze data, and implement the quality management system (AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP). Conduct inspections and testing of raw, in-process, and finished products while utilizing PFMEA, MSA, and Control Plans to monitor internal processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, execute CAPAs, and evaluate supplier performance through audits. Create and maintain quality documentation, assist inspectors in ensuring compliance, and drive continuous improvement via 5S, Kaizen, and LEAN initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering, US work authorization, and ability to work under ITAR/EAR regulations. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to frequently sit stand and walk
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
- Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
- Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of quality engineering experience
- Aerospace experience
- Understanding of quality principles and methodologies
- Experience and training in quality systems including AS9100 and NADCAP
- Proficiency in quality management systems, process validation, and customer specifications
- Experience working with CAD, QMS and ERP software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide junior team members effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customers
