Job Summary
Support cross-functional teams in executing quality improvement projects focused on scrap reduction and supplier quality. Perform quality audits, analyze performance data with statistical tools, and conduct tests to identify defects in incoming supplies and products. Manage supplier performance through audits and ensure timely resolution of corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances. Assist with manufacturing scrap evaluation, failure analysis, and the disposition process as a Material Review Board member. Maintain detailed reports on defect rates and areas resulting in flaws while ensuring compliance with AS9100D, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001 standards.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or logistics
- 1 – 3 years' experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
- Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills
- Working knowledge of quality control standards and government compliance
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles
- Skilled in the use of all types of measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional correspondence, policies, and procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the suppliers
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Excellent communication and liaison skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
- AS9100D or ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System
- IPC-A-620 Wire Harness Workmanship
- J-STD-001 Solder Workmanship
- AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI)
