QUALITY ENGINEER I

Quality Engineer I responsible for first point of contact for customers; works independently or in a team on problem solving activities; applies 5Why, 8D, and customer-required forms; develops, installs and evaluates process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques; develops or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; analyzes production and service limitations and standards; recommends revisions of specifications; formulates policies and procedures for quality; conducts training on department concepts, tools and testing equipment; quantifies quality costs and supports PPAPs, FMEA’s, control plans, and 5P’s/8D’s during launch, mass production and service; performs quality audits and daily reporting; travels to customers or suppliers; interfaces with engineering components and external partners on quality issues; prepares quality documentation and reports; location: Fort Wayne, IN.
