Job Summary
Quality Engineer I role focused on ensuring product and process quality at Jabil Ukraine. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality procedures and standards per Jabil's Quality Management System and customer requirements. Conduct root-cause analyses of quality issues using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, and the 5 Whys; collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, logistics) to implement CAPA actions; participate in design and process development to ensure early integration of quality requirements (APQP, PPAP). Monitor quality KPIs, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve product quality and process efficiency. Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Provide training and coaching to shop floor personnel on quality procedures, tools, and best practices. Support customer-driven quality initiatives and participate in reviews and audits conducted by customers. Lead continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC; prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership review. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics)
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across production, engineering, and logistics
- English language proficiency (oral and written)
- Experience with ERP systems and QA software is a plus
- ASQ CQE certification is advantageous
