Job Summary
Conduct source inspections, dock audits, and manufacturing procedural audits to maintain records per customer quality requirements. Perform APQP, PFMEA, Flow Diagram, Control Plan, and SPC activities while evaluating first article inspection results and preparing MRB approval paperwork. Investigate problems using 8D discipline to minimize scrap and rework through effective communication with Engineering and Manufacturing. Establish operating equipment specifications, incoming inspection requirements, and internal manufacturing/receiving inspections to ensure supplier performance. Review purchase orders, drawings, and minor engineering changes to define product quality requirements. Assist in six-sigma endeavors and industrial engineering assignments involving method analysis, time standards, and tooling specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering
- 2-4 years or equivalent knowledge / experience
- Familiar with a variety of concepts within the field
- Must possess good communication and organizational skills
- Computer literacy is a must, including competency in general MS Office applications, technical computer modeling and statistical tools
- Vision requirement of 20/20 or better in at least one eye, per the J1 standard as well as color perception
- Must be capable of delivering on commitments in a timely and efficient manner
- Must have a working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949 and AS9100 as applicable
- Must be able to meet export control eligibility requirements as a condition of employment
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
