Job Summary
Create and update quality tools to convey customer expectations, process ECNs and ROCs, and submit PPAPs. Generate RAs, initiate containment, and participate in MRB and RA review meetings to disposition nonconforming product. Maintain the 8D RA Table, assign corrective actions, and work with QA and production on new part launches. Manage customer quality projects, communicate requirements, and travel to BTD locations and customers as needed. Provide ideas to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while adhering to safety policies and management systems.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of recent BTD experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or quality
- Experience with manufacturing and/or Quality Department processes
- Strong print reading ability
- Basic knowledge of BTD manufacturing processes
- Ability to effectively communicate with computer, phone, drawings, and written skills
- Possesses the skills to manage customer quality projects
- Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods, and practices in use of metal manufacturing operations
- Working knowledge of medium to heavy manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, interpret and understand the use and application of production blueprints and specifications
- Ability to perform quality inspections of products
- Ability to establish, encourage and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience using SolidWorks
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Willing to travel to all BTD locations and customers as needed
