Job Summary
Support continuous improvement projects and quality assignments while providing engineering support for new product development, assembly methods, and capacity analysis. Utilize data, lean principles, and problem-solving methodologies to solve issues, prevent recurrence, and lead the development of Process Flow, FMEA, and Control Plans. Conduct capability studies using Minitab, perform IATF 16949 audits, and initiate corrective actions via 8D's and the three Legged 5 Why tool. Assist with PPAP documentation, design measuring equipment, and communicate with customers, suppliers, and all company levels. This 1st shift position requires a self-starter with a 4-year degree and no visa sponsorship, located in Britton, South Dakota.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to show legal authorization to work in the United States because we do not provide Visa sponsorship
- Qualified candidate will have a 4-year technical or business degree
- Note: Equivalent education equals 2 years of closely related Manufacturing and Quality experience for 1 year of education
- Able to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally (i.e. customer/supplier visits)
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrate an expertise in problem solving skills, including being able to identify, investigate and countermeasure manufacturing or supplier related technical and / or systemic issues
- Possess the ability to be self-directed
- Able to build effective teams and the ability to work with suppliers, plant manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure the deliverables are met
- Experience with manufacturing processes for components
- Experience with automotive components and functional requirements
