Job Summary
Quality Engineer role focusing on developing and maintaining quality systems, leading root cause investigations, and serving as a technical resource for quality across production and engineering. Core duties include implementing ISO 9001-aligned quality procedures, leading RCA and CAPA investigations for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues, performing FAI and in-process/final inspections, analyzing quality data to drive corrective actions, supporting internal and external audits, collaborating with engineering, production, and supply chain on changes and waivers, managing disposition of nonconforming material, maintaining calibration programs for MTE, contributing to NPI activities, supplier qualification and performance monitoring, preparing quality documentation (control plans, FMEAs, MSA reports, process flow diagrams), training personnel, operating precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators), and serving as the point of contact for quality-related customer communications with a collaborative, data-driven approach. All activities support delivering products that meet customer and regulatory standards, with a full-time onsite schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO 9001 or an equivalent quality management system
- Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and FMEA methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis (Cpk), and data-driven decision making
- Proficiency with quality software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with valve, fluid control, or industrial manufacturing processes preferred
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred
- Experience with precision measurement tools and CMM operation preferred
