Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Drive site Quality Management System compliance and ISO 9001:2015 certification by resolving defects, reviewing design plans and process procedures, and implementing corrective actions for production issues. Lead plant-level Quality Inspectors, analyze defect trends using SAP, and manage First Article Inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives like CAPA and RCCA methodologies while maintaining detailed FAI records. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, three to five years of quality experience, and proficiency in problem-solving and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Three to five years of related experience
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Five to ten years of experience
- Supervision and leadership experience
- Internal Auditor certification
- SAP experience
- Education and working knowledge of RCCA methodologies, concentration in Root Cause, Quality Improvement, Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Quality Engineer work experience
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Communication skills
- Proficient in project management and problem solving
- Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization's production processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must be willing to learn and obtain experience as needed for successful management of site level QMS
- Must be willing to work as a team player with production and the Quality Team

- Provide leadership working in cross-functional teams to drive superb Quality Improvement initiatives along with solid contributions towards progressing leading indicators to achieve a world-class Quality Management System
