Job Summary
Ensure all activities align with company operating procedures and the Quality Manual while providing guidance on developing procedures for changing environments. Lead Quality Root Cause and Corrective actions using 8D, A3, Fishbone, and 5 Why methods, manage the MRB process, and produce Right First Time data. Conduct layered process audits and AS9100D internal audits to demonstrate compliance, verify processes against AS9102 and AS9145 standards, and perform risk mitigation analysis via FMEA. Liaise with all business areas, suppliers, and customers to resolve product quality issues, attend business/product reviews, and publish results to direct efforts. This role supports continuous improvement through best practices within Teledyne's aerospace and defense markets.
Required Qualifications
- A high standard of formal education (preferably to HNC level or equivalent)
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality requirements
- A time served background in an engineering discipline
- An understanding of metrology (optical/mechanical)
- Problem solving tools / techniques
- Fully competent in the use of PC's (Microsoft Office Applications)
- Excellent communication skills
- A methodical approach to working
- Proven attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under pressure to achieve demanding objectives
Desired Qualifications
- An extensive knowledge of Qioptiq products and processes, together with an understanding of the Qioptiq Management System
- Familiarity with auditing techniques, although training will be given if required
- Quality Assurance experience within a precision manufacturing environment
