Job Summary
Conduct capability studies, Design of Experiments, and measurement system analyses to improve manufacturing process quality for Shotshell products. Lead Six Sigma and product line improvement projects while working with vendors to procure automated inspection equipment. Collaborate with plant personnel and Quality Management to implement ISO 9000 systems and support supplier quality validation programs. Contribute to new product design by addressing producibility issues and establish productivity measurements using statistical techniques. Work 50% on the manufacturing floor and 50% in the office, with minimal direct supervision in an environment involving potential exposure to flammables and explosives.
Required Qualifications
- BSIE/BSME from a major university or equivalent
- 1-3 years (minimum) of progressive Quality Engineering experience in a high volume consumer manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and application experience with SPC, DOE, TQM, etc.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, project management and teamwork skills
- Able to operate well in an unstructured environment with minimal direct supervision
- Superior personal computer application skills
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (a/k/a green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Not a convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year
- Not a fugitive from justice
- Not an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance
- Not adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to any mental institution
- Not an illegal alien
- Not discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions
- Not renounced his or her United States Citizenship
- Not subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner
- Not convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
