Job Summary
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to review product designs, manufacturing processes, and test documentation while ensuring customer quality requirements are met. Support preparation and performance of analyses for critical-to-quality tests and manufacturing process validation using metrological instruments for in-process and receiving inspections. Provide Quality Engineering support for product acceptance, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, including creating and updating standard operating procedures. Evaluate and report data while maintaining test documentation and supporting the measurement system analysis program for equipment calibration. Perform process audits, startup/shutdown verifications, and first-piece sampling to support production goals. Maintain safe workplace practices and provide direction to the team for continuous improvement. This role requires a Bachelor's degree with five years of manufacturing experience, familiarity with ISO 9001, and hands-on experience with basic metrology equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor or equivalent
- 5 years of manufacturing experience in a quality engineering equivalent role
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred lithium-ion battery manufacturing or materials testing experience
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system
- PDCA cycle
- Preferred experience internal auditing experience
- Experience with measurement system analysis, including but not limited to calibration activities, R&R, SPC, capability, etc...
- Hands-on experience with basic metrology equipment; micrometers, DMM, Scales/Balances, calipers, and various other equipment for dimensional, electrical, and basic material analysis
- Preferred experience with safety, cleanliness, and contamination protocols, including but not limited clean room, dry room, and wet lab environments
- Preferred hands-on experience with mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical analysis equipment and methods
