Job Summary
Quality Engineer role focused on developing and implementing quality management strategies across mechanical and electronic components, supporting production transfer of new products, establishing SPC methods, preparing QA reports, training and Kaizen event participation, and ensuring compliance with ISO, IATF (via TS 16949), AAR, ATEX, and ASME standards. The position emphasizes root cause analysis (A3 methodology), supplier quality management, RMA handling, design/process improvements for cost and quality, and collaboration with Quality Manager, Engineering, and Production to maintain and improve product quality and manufacturing processes. Work is onsite at the Hamilton, OH facility; benefits include comprehensive medical, retirement, and family/employee support programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical) / Business / other applicable field
- 3—5 years of experience in an Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related role
- Proven ability to utilize A3 problem solving methodologies and tools
- Work location: Knappco facility in Hamilton, OH
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 15000, TS 16949 preferred
- PPAP methodologies experience preferred
- CMM measurement and GD&T experience preferred
- Experience in continuous improvement and data-driven problem solving
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to adhere to Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct
