Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating quality assurance activities related to product quality at ConMet, ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements. This role includes coordinating directly with customers, performing audits, managing quality standards during product launches, and leading corrective action initiatives. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, have prior experience in quality engineering, and be familiar with quality tools and methodologies such as APQP and FMEA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field
- Prior quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or auditing experience
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Core Tools
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies and corrective action processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with customers
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and measurement data
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
