Job Summary
Develop, implement, and improve quality plans while preparing and responding to customer escapes, corrective action requests, and reports such as VIRS, VPARS, and LOAs. Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis to develop corrective and preventive actions, driving continuous improvement through CIRCOR Operating System tools. Maintain compliance with applicable standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements while assisting with internal and external audits. Interpret ASTM, Military, DFARS, and FAR specifications, including GD&T, and apply quality tools like APQP, FMEA, and SPC to analyze measurement processes and identify sources of uncertainty. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, 2-5 years of quality engineering experience, and ASQ certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a technical field
- 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering
- Understanding of quality concepts and principles
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Highly organized
- Ability to collaborate across business functions to achieve results
- Interpret ASTM, Military, DFARS and FAR specifications, drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
- Working experience with writing quality procedures
- Problem Solving: Solves problems using systematic analysis processes and industry-standard methodologies
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications
- Quality Process Management: Applies quality tools and methods (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test)
- Measurement Science: Analyzes measurement processes throughout the traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty
- Experience with standards such as AS9100, ISO14001, ISO9001
Desired Qualifications
