Job Summary

Quality Engineer role supporting utility programs through corrective action execution, CAP/CE-driven findings remediation, and initiation/desing of new projects. Responsibilities include executing corrective/preventative actions, reducing backlog, coordinating with process owners and SMEs, translating root-cause findings into implemented solutions, tracking status across actions, ensuring compliance with procedures and audits, supporting intake/evaluation of new project requests, defining problem statements and high-level solution approaches, developing delivery plans and templates, and contributing to future-state process architecture (maps, SOPs, RACIs). Also involved in process & controls re-architecture, identifying inefficiencies, aiding standardized scalable frameworks, improving documentation accessibility, and supporting PDCA-based continuous improvement; this role requires strong program execution, multi-workstream management, cross-functional collaboration across GIS, data, engineering, and program teams, and effective communication for governance and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, GIS, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering, program support, operations, or consulting
  • Experience working in regulated environments or utility programs preferred
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Proven ability to drive execution and close out actions in structured programs
  • Excellent coordination and follow-through across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with process mapping, documentation, and workflow design
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and administrative rigor
  • Work Environment: Primarily remote with occasional travel for stakeholder meetings
  • Hybrid cadence for key workshops and program milestones
