Job Summary
Quality Engineer to support quality assurance operations in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include contract review, corrective action investigations, audits for ASME/military standards, inspection review, and continuous improvement initiatives; coordinate welding, NDT, dimensional inspection, and heat treatment requirements; review calibration records and material rejection reports; perform root cause analysis and implement preventative actions; develop quality requirements for subcontracted services; collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and inspection teams to resolve quality concerns. Prefer candidates with associate or bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of NDT, welding, ASME codes, and military standards; strong communication and analytical skills; proficiency with MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
- 5–7 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing contract review on complex technical documentation and customer requirements
- Familiarity with corrective action investigations and root cause analysis methodologies
- Knowledge of nondestructive testing (NDT), welding processes, ASME codes, and military standards preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
