Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for introducing, maintaining, and improving quality systems to support R&D and manufacturing of new products and processes. Works with design, R&D, quality control, and manufacturing engineering to ensure customer requirements are reflected in functional specifications, leads Design/Process FMEA, ensures documentation is in place before production, analyzes data to monitor quality metrics, and drives corrective actions and process improvements to reduce nonconformances and customer complaints. Responsibilities extend from Quality Engineer I through II, including audits (supplier, customer, and certification), change control data packages, SPC usage, and collaboration with suppliers to ensure material quality. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) and may prefer Six Sigma certification; experience with quality projects during NPI and manufacturing, and familiarity with analytical chemistry equipment is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Science) or Equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt is acceptable)
