Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will drive continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives, focusing on Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing SPC programs, conducting audits, leading training on SPC techniques, addressing nonconformities through corrective actions, updating quality documentation, and serving as a quality liaison with customers. The ideal candidate should possess a college diploma in a relevant field, advanced SPC knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical tools.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related technical field
- Advanced knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Control Plan development
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Proven instructional and communication skills, with the ability to lead quality teams and investigations
- Demonstrated experience in developing quality documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, and process flows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical software (e.g., Minitab)
Desired Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector, preferably in glass or related materials
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
