Job Summary
Support production teams with real-time quality troubleshooting across fabrication, assembly, and powder coating processes. Validate containment actions for nonconforming material, lead Material Review Board meetings, and create quality alerts. Conduct Gemba walks to verify error-proofing and process controls, while reviewing FPY, scrap, and COPQ data using Pareto methods. Lead structured problem-solving events, maintain control plans and PFMEAs, and run process capability studies. Perform process audits, validate operator training, and update quality documentation and standard work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in quality engineering, in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, powder coating)
- Proficient in quality tools: A3, 8D, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
- Experience with ISO 9001
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Statistical data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications such as CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software preferred
