Quality Engineer

Job Summary
Establish quality standards and KPIs for products and processes while developing an effective Quality Management System (QMS). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Software, and Manufacturing to identify and mitigate quality issues through tiger teams, RCA, and 8D processes. Develop supplier audit processes and contribute to supplier SBR/QBR meetings to ensure high-quality standards across PCBA manufacturing and electro-mechanical assembly. Drive continuous improvements using Six Sigma methods and establish quality key performance metrics. Requires 10+ years of experience in the Semiconductor or Electronic industries with knowledge of ISO/TL 9000 systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of related experience in the Semiconductor or Electronic industries
- Experience in Quality Engineering in high-tech manufacturing (preferably networking equipment) and working with contract manufacturing partners
- Knowledgeable and practical experience in different Quality Management Systems, such as ISO/TL 9000 and others
- Experience in establishing Quality Key Performance Metrics to drive continuous improvements
- Experience in PCBA manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, and associated processes
- Broad knowledge of tests, diagnostics, failure analysis, and debug techniques
- Foundational knowledge in quality and reliability performance metrics
- Ability to work cross-functionally, including the ability to balance the technical and business aspects of hardware manufacturing
- Experience with the Six Sigma approach and methods
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and supply chain concepts
- Self-starter who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to influence and motivate internal and external partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
