Job Summary
Conduct internal audits from planning through close-out to guarantee robust business processes meeting IATF 16949 and customer standards. Lead structured problem-solving activities using 8D, PPS, Kaizen, and A3 methods while driving CAPA implementation and root cause analysis. Maintain and improve QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and PFMEAs, and manage non-conforming material from containment to disposition. Monitor key quality metrics such as PPM and yield loss to drive improvements, and lead development of core tools like APQP, PPAP, and SPC. Support supplier and customer audits, resolve quality issues collaboratively, and ensure timely PPAP submissions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working within a certified Quality Management System (IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001)
- Experience in the automotive or similar manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA)
- Experience of structured problem-solving (8D, PPS, Kaizen, A3)
- Audit experience (internal and/or external standards such as IATF 16949 / ISO 9001)
- Supplier and/or customer quality experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications
- Strong IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office; exposure to Minitab, SAP or similar systems)
Desired Qualifications
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Experience in the automotive or similar manufacturing environment (3+ years)
- Lean / Six Sigma training or experience
- VDA knowledge
