Job Summary
Quality Engineer responsible for owning corrective action from initiation to closure using 8D methodology; supporting APQP activities for new product launches; conducting supplier audits and improving supplier quality; applying SPC/MSA to identify and correct production-floor quality issues; reading engineering drawings to support inspection; maintaining PPAP documentation and coordinating APQP for parts; driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the Quality Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- 4+ years quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with 8D corrective action methodology
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of AIAG core tools: APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA
- Experience working within an IATF 16949-certified quality system
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Lean / Six Sigma experience or certification (preferred)
- CQE or ASQ certification (preferred)
