Job Summary
Lead quality engineering for Pratt & Whitney's Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) in Asheville, NC. Develop and implement quality controls and plans to meet customer requirements across the production lifecycle; conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and prevent customer escapes. Provide technical leadership in quality investigations, QMS improvements, and regulatory/compliance activities (FAA & AS9100 scope expansion). Analyze and present complex data to support quality signature improvements; lead CAPA and MRB processing for non-conforming material; define plans to achieve quality, CORE, and financial metrics; communicate effectively to align the Quality and ACF organizations. Requires autonomy with limited managerial oversight and a strong background in quality tools, DMAIC/CORE/Lean methods, and aerospace/defense manufacturing practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 3 years experience
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience for Bachelors pathway or minimum 3 years with Advanced Degree
- Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality systems
- PW Quality system experience
- Experience with quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements
- Experience in root cause corrective action and eliminating non-conformances
- Practical DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma or Lean Systems experience
