Job Summary

Respond to assigned model and line quality issues by investigating root causes and developing temporary and permanent countermeasures. Monitor key performance indicators including shift production loss, EOL/DCS reject rates, operational scrap, and Nissan PPAP submissions. Manage ongoing and new programs while escalating risks appropriately. Verify corrective action status and maintain daily quality department reports. Participate in plant-wide meetings, line meetings, and training exercises to support safety goals and environmental management system compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Three (3) or more years' experience in the automotive environment
  • Knowledge in quality core tool
  • Experience in 8D, 5-Why's, Fishbone, 4M, Pareto and any other common quality control / assurance tools
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as quality policies and procedures
  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and work instructions
  • Ability to effectively and promptly present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, medium to strong Excel skills desired
  • Experience in interacting with the plant management, the operations teams, other supporting functional teams, and customer with prompt responsiveness
