Job Summary
Interface professionally with all functions, customers, and suppliers on quality-related issues. Analyze and investigate product complaints to mitigate effects and prevent recurrence, while performing root cause analysis and preventive or corrective action activities. Conduct inspection and testing to determine compliance, develop processes for scrap and rework reduction, and participate in MRB activities. Create AS9102 first article inspection reports and other required QMS documentation. Assist purchasing in supplier quality assurance and provide input for sourcing. Help ensure AS9100, ISO 9001, and ESD S20.20 compliance through internal audits, supplier audits, and hosting external auditors. Provide training to other personnel and cross-train on QA/QC roles for coverage during absences. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a quality-related position in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management system standards
- Ability to read and understand standards, drawings, procedures, and specifications
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Occasional overnight travel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in a manufacturing discipline/technical field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) is preferred
- Functional knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing processes is a plus
- Knowledge of IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001, CIS or CIT certification is a plus
- ASQ certification is a plus
- Experience in the use of a wide range of quality tools, terminology, methods, statistical techniques, sampling plans, and data analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, employees and management
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
